John 1:1-2 ~ Which Beginning is This Referring To?

Rules for Biblical Interpretation. William Miller (February 15, 1782 – December 20, 1849)

• All Scripture is necessary, and may be understood by diligent application and study
  2 Timothy 3:15-17.
• Every word must have it’s proper bearing on the subject presented in the Bible

• Scripture must be it’s own expositor, since it is a rule of itself. If I depend on a teacher to explain it to me, and he should guess at it's meaning, or desire to have it so on account of his sectarian creed, or to be thought wise, then his guessing, desire, creed, or wisdom is my rule, not the Bible.

• How to know when a word is used figuratively. If it makes good sense as it stands, and does no violence to the simple laws of nature, then it must be understood literally; if not, figuratively (Revelation 12:1, 2; 17:3-7).

Messiah Yahshua is not created, is fully Divine and is the literal Son of the one True El.
He is Elohim, for like begats like, brought forth from the Father before creation.

The First Beginning stated: John 1:1-2
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim.
Joh 1:2 He was in the beginning with Elohim.

~ John 1:1-3 In the beginning in Hebrew is “B'resheet” and John is paralleling the book of Genesis and showing Yahshua being a part of the creation process with Yahweh the Father. The Aramaic word for 'word' is miltha and is not easily translated but can also be manifestation or substance.

The Second Beginning Stated: Creation John 1:3
Joh 1:3 Everything existed through His hands, and without Him, not even one thing existed of the things, which have existed.

Is there Biblical Verses Which support the First Beginning (Of the Word) before and Involved in Creation? Yes.
Pro 8:22-31 YAHWEH possessed me in the beginning of His way, from then, before His works.
I was set up from everlasting, from that which was before the earth.
When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no springs heavy with water.
Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was brought forth; before He had made the earth and the fields, or the highest part of the dust of the world.
When He prepared the heavens, I was there; when He set a circle on the face of the deep, when He formed the clouds above, when He made the strong fountains of the deep, when He gave to the sea its limit, that the waters should not pass beyond His command; when He decreed the foundations of the earth,
then I was at His side, like a master workman; and I was His delights day by day, rejoicing before Him at every time; rejoicing in the world, His earth; and my delight was with the sons of men.

From the beginning &mdash Before which there was nothing but a vast eternity; or ever the earth was — Which he mentions, because this, together with the heaven, was the first of God’s visible works. When there were no depths — No abyss or deep waters, either mixed with the earth, as they were at first, or separated from it; I was brought forth — Begotten of my Father.

Proverbs 8:22-31
The Son of God declares himself to have been engaged in the creation of the world. How able, how fit is the Son of God to be the Saviour of the world, who was the Creator of it! The Son of God was ordained, before the world, to that great work. Does he delight in saving wretched sinners, and shall not we delight in his salvation?

Summarized Bible
Proverbs 8:1-36
Contents: Praise of divine wisdom. Christ, the Wisdom of God, speaks to men.
Characters: God, Wisdom (Christ).
Conclusion: Right knowledge of the divine will concerning us is to be preferred above all the wealth of this world, for it brings favor with God, and eternal life.
Key Word: Wisdom, Pro 8:1.
Strong Verses: Pro 8:35, Pro 8:36.
Striking Facts: Pro 8:22. Wisdom here is certainly more than the personification of an attribute of God, or the will of God, but is a distinct representation of Christ. Jhn 1:1-3; Col 1:17.

Does Proverbs 8 reveal Messiah? Yes.
Pro 8:35-36 For whoever finds me finds life, and he shall obtain favor from YAHWEH. But he who sins against me does violence to his own soul; all who hate me love death.

Yahshua Messiah said:
Joh 15:23-24 The one hating Me also hates My Father. If I did not do the works among them which no other did, they had no sin. But now they both have seen and also have hated Me and My Father.

Proverbs also states the preincarnate Messiah is YAHWEH's Son.
Pro 30:4 Who has gone up to Heaven, and come down? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in His garments? Who has made all the ends of the earth to rise? What is His name, and what is His Son's name? Surely you know.

As does Psalms and repeated in Acts and Hebrews.
Psa 2:7 I will declare concerning the statute of YAHWEH: He said to Me, You are My Son. Today I have begotten You.

Act 13:33 Behold Elohim has completed it to their children, to us, that He raised Yahshua. It is written in the second Psalm that
"You are My Son, today I have begotten You."

Heb 5:5 So also the Messiah has not glorified Himself to become a high priest, but He glorified the one who said to Him,
"You are My Son; today I have begotten You."

Does Yahshua Messiah State He was Begotten/Brought Forth? Yes.
Joh 8:42 Then Yahshua said to them, If YAHWEH were your Father, you would love Me, for I went forth and have come from YAHWEH.
For I have not come from Myself, but that One sent Me.

Joh 16:27-29 for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I have proceeded from the presence of the Father.
I proceeded from the presence of the Father and have come into the world. And again I leave the world and I go to the Father.
His disciples said to Him, Behold, now You speak openly and You say no parable.

Joh 17:7-8 Now they have known that everything that you have given to me I have given to them and they received them. And they know that I have truly proceeded from your presence, and they believe that You have sent me.

The Only Begotten of the Father, the First Born of All Creation.
First-Born
Col 1:15 who is the image of the invisible Elohim, the 'First-born G4416a' of all creation†.
Col 1:16-17 For all things were created through Him, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, the visible and the invisible; whether imperial thrones, or dominions, or angelic orders, or authorities, all things were in His hand and have been created by Him. And He is before all things, and by Him all things are sustained.

Only-Begotten
Joh 1:14 And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, glory as of an 'only begotten G3439' one from the Father, full of grace and of truth.

Joh 1:18 No one has seen YAHWEH at any time; the 'only begotten G3439' Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, that One declares Him†.

Joh 3:16-18 For YAHWEH so loved the world that He gave His 'only begotten G3439' Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For YAHWEH did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might have life through Him.
The one believing into Him is not condemned; but the one not believing has already been condemned, for he has not believed into the name of the 'only begotten G3439' Son of YAHWEH.

1Jn 4:9 By this was the love of Elohim towards us made known, because YAHWEH sent his 'only begotten G3439' Son into the world, that we might live by Him.

The Literal Sonship of Messiah Yahshua.
It is generally recognized that Yahshua is the Son of YAH, the one true El, but only a metaphorical one, a symbolic son, or a son who plays the role of the son to us human children to make the plan of salvation understandable through a role play of the three persons of the Godhead/Trinity. But a literal interpretation of the term “only begotten son of YAHWEH” as a real and true son born or brought forth by the Father is considered a heresy to be condemned.
Why do many find it so far-fetched that Yahshua really is the literal Son of YAHWEH, born and brought forth from the Father before time and creation itself?

In fact the only way the incarnation is possible, is if Yahshua is the literal son of the Father, because any other understanding is contradictory, for The Father Elohim is invisible, immortal, cannot change, cannot take on human nature, cannot be tempted, cannot die.

Any one who knows a little about the Bible will not deny that in it Yahshua is specifically called the Son of YAHWEH, especially in the New Testament.

~ His Father identifies Him as His beloved Son at His baptism (Matt 3:17; Mark 1:11; Luke 3:22)
~ As well as at His transfiguration on the mountain (Matthew 17:5;Mark 9:7; 2.Peter 1:17)
~ His disciples confessed Him as the Son of YAHWEH (Matthew 14:33; Matt 16:16; John 1:49; John 11:27)
~ The demons addressed Him with this title (Matt 8:29; Mark 3:11; Mark 5:7; Luke 4:41)
~ The Roman centurion confessed: “Truly, this was the Son of YAHWEH.” (Matt 27:54)
~ Satan challenged Him during the temptation in the desert: “If you are the Son of YAHWEH, then …” (Matt 4:3; 4:6)
~ After his Damascus experience, Paul preached “Yahshua in the synagogues, that he is the Son of YAHWEH.” (Acts 9:20, also Rom 1:4; 2.Cor 1:19; Gal 2:20, Heb 4:14)
~ The Ethiopian’s confession on the road to Gaza, after a short but intensive Bible study with the Apostle Philip, was: “I believe that Yahshua Messiah is the Son of YAHWEH” (Acts 8:37), and qualified him to be baptized by Philip.
~ Yahshua himself professed to be the Son of YAHWEH (Luke 22.70; John 3.16; 9.35; John 10:36; Rev 2:18).
~ He kept confessing that His El was His Father (Matt 15:13; Matt 18:35; Matt 26:39; Luke 22:29; John 5:17; John 8:28; John 10:15, 17:29 and many more)

The Elohim (God) and Father of Yahshua Messiah.
When we read the Scriptures as written without applying a creed or theological doctrine first, it is plain, clear and simply stated that our Messiah has a literal Father whom is also His Elohim. By applying theological understanding or held doctrine to the scriptures first, we distort the correct meaning of words, and contradicted the very statements of our Messiah and the writers of the scriptures. - link to article.

Looking at John 1:1-2 in a different way
In the beginning was the Woman, and the Woman was with Man, and the Woman was Man.
She was in the beginning with Man. Gen 2:22-23, Gen 5:2

Gen 2:22 And YAHWEH Elohim formed the rib which He had taken from the man into a woman, and brought her to the man.
Gen 2:23 And the man said, This now at last is bone from my bones, and flesh from my flesh;
For this shall be called Woman, because out of man this has been taken.

Gen 5:2 He created them male and female, and blessed them, and called their name "Adam" in the day when they were created.

Now Eve was not created as Adam was, with the dust of the earth and the breath of life, or as any other creation was, that was spoken into being.
She was brought forth from Adam's rib, His bossom. Begotten of Adam. (from created flesh).

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim.
Joh 1:2 He was in the beginning with Elohim.

Joh 1:18 No one has seen YAHWEH at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, that One declares Him.

The Family of YAHWEH, YAH and Yahshua, the literal Father and His Son.
Can the Father YAH YAHWEH have a literal Son? Of course, the El of the Universe is unimaginably unlimited, to claim anything else is denying YAH himself.
Yahshua stated YAH was His Father and His Elohim, if He did not mean this literally, He is lying, therefore cannot atone for our sins.
YAH YAHWEH stated Yahshua was His beloved Son, if He did not mean this literally, then He is lying, which YAH cannot do.

Therefore John 1:1-2, this beginning mentioned is that of the literal Son of YAHWEH, brought forth before creation, the only begotten Son of the Father.
It is not until verse 3 that we are told that all creation happens through the Son.

Heb 1:2 in these last days He has spoken to us in the Son, whom He appointed heir of all; and by whom he made the worlds;
Heb 1:3 for He is the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His being, and upholding all things by the power of His Word; having made purification of our sins through Himself, He sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high†,

Heb 1:8-10 But to the Son He said, "Your throne, O Elohim, is forever and ever, a scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom;
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; because of this,YAHWEH, Your Elohim, has anointed You with the oil of gladness beside Your fellows."
"And, from the beginning you have laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are works of Your hands."

1Corinthians 15:24-28
1Co 15:24-28 Then is the end, when He delivers the kingdom to YAHWEH, even the Father, when He makes to cease all rule and all authority and power.
For it is right for Him to reign until He puts all enemies under His feet; the last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
For "He subjected all things under His feet;" but when He says that "all things have been subjected, it is plain that it excepts Him" (The Father) who has subjected all things to Him.
But when all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One (The Father) who has subjected all things to Him, that YAHWEHmay be all things in all.

GNB 1Co 15:24-28 Then the end will come; Christ will overcome all spiritual rulers, authorities, and powers, and will hand over the Kingdom to God the Father. For Christ must rule until God defeats all enemies and puts them under his feet. The last enemy to be defeated will be death.
For the scripture says, "God put all things under his feet." It is clear, of course, that "all things" do not include God himself, who puts all things under Christ.
But when all things have been placed under Christ's rule, then he himself, the Son, will place himself under God, who placed all things under him; and God will rule completely over all.

1Corinthians 15:24-28 reveals that the Son places himself under the Father YAHWEH, So YAHWEH can rule over all.

~ How is this possible in the case of the Trinity?
~ Does God divide himself and place 1/3 of Himself under Himself so He can rule over all including 1/3 of Himself?

Yet the Prince of the Universe, the literal Son of the one true El, can place Himself under the King of the Universe, His Father and His Elohim.
This understanding makes simple logical sense.

The Prince ~ Yahshua our Messiah and Eternal Life.
1Ti 1:16 But for this reason I received mercy, that in me first Yahshua Messiah might show forth all patience, for an example to those being about to believe on Him to everlasting life.

The King ~ His Father and Our Father, His Elohim and our Elohim.
1Ti 1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only Elohim, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
