An Understanding

The Torah and Commandments that Abraham Kept Gen 26:5, He did so because of His FAITH, obedience and trust in YAHWEH.
Not the Levitical law of the Old Covenant, added 430 years later, which required the sacrificial system with ceremonial functions, sacrifices etc. - the works of the flesh/law. And Until we learn the difference between what YAHWEH gave man to live by, to be Holy and Just as He is, and what was added at Mt Sinai because of Israel's sins, we will remain lawless and confused. We are warned about this by Messiah Matt 7:21-23.

The School Master/Trainer was the Levitical Laws of works. Messiah fulfilled the righteous requirements of the Law Rom 8:4,
being perfect and after the Order of Melchizedek, Heb 7:15, not the Order of Levi.
Circumcision was a sign of the Old Covenant, by their Blood, works of the flesh/law, and because of their sin, animal sacrifice - blood, which only covered their sins, Their works of righteousness.
Yet if it were not of faith, believing that their sins were covered, that this pointed to the promised Messiah, what was the point of doing this?

And it all pointed to Messiah.
Their faith that the promised Messiah would come and remove their sins,
make the way again where all can come before the Father, through His Son, as it was in the beginning.

The Holy standard of Love - the Torah and Commandments Rom 7:12, are for us, to guide us,
to instruct us in the Holy Way of YAHWEH : Obedience to Him, Rest, Healthy Diet and Living, Loving your fellow man.

Rom 15:4 For whatever things were written before were written for our instruction,
that through patience and encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Messiah, His blood has washed us clean, His Righteousness covers Us. Believing this, what He has done, and who He is, the literal Son of YAH - this is our faith, our Hope and Glory, our eternal life. For this is the Foundation of Scripture, from beginning to end : MESSIAH AND HIM CRUCIFIED.

Col 1:20-23 and THROUGH HIM making peace by the blood of His crucifixion, to reconcile all things to Himself; THROUGH HIM, whether the things on the earth, or the things in the heavens. And you then being alienated and hostile in your mind by evil works, but now peace has been given, through the sacrifice of His body, and HIS DEATH, so that He may RAISE YOU BEFORE HIM HOLY AND WITHOUT BLEMISH and BLAMELESS, if indeed you continue in the faith grounded and settled and not being moved away from the hope of the good news which you have heard and which has been preached in all the creation under Heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

We all fall short of the Righteous Standard of YAHWEH Rom 3:23, 1 Jn 3:4.
This is why we need, and have faith and hope in Messiah Gal 3:13,
what He did on behalf of all whom believe on Him Jn 3:16-18.

Does this mean we ignore YAHWEH's Holy Standard?
or just keep bits that suit church teachings?

We are to be a set apart people, We are a Holy Priesthood, 1Pe 2:5-10
We are Living Sanctuaries, Rom 12:1
We are circumcised in the Heart, Rom 2:28-29
Our Mind and Heart are the ark of the Covenant. Heb 10:16
Our High Priest is Yahshua YAHWEH, Our Messiah. Heb 8:1

Without Faith in Messiah we are lost, no amount of law keeping makes us righteous, only Messiah.

In all of Paul's epistles the argument is never whether one should obey the Torah. The argument is how do we get justified before YAHWEH? Is it through the sacrificial system with ceremonial functions or is it strictly through the blood of Yahshua?
The Torah sanctifies a believer after he is justified and teaches him right from wrong, Psa 119:105.
Obedience is the evidence of one's faith.

Rom 3:31 Do we then nullify the Torah by faith? Far be it. On the contrary, we establish the Torah!

The Peace of Yahshua YAHWEH be upon you, may ABBA and His Son help you see the Truth.

Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of YAHWEH,

1Jn 3:4 Everyone practicing sin also practices lawlessness, and sin is the breaking of the Torah†.

Gal 3:13 Messiah redeemed us from the curse of the Torah, having become a curse for us; for it has been written, "Cursed is everyone having been hung on a tree;"†

Joh 3:16 For YAHWEH so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life†.
Joh 3:17 For YAHWEH did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might have life through Him.
Joh 3:18 The one believing into Him is not condemned; but the one not believing has already been condemned, for he has not believed into the name of the only begotten Son of YAHWEH†.
